New meeting of the Local Committee on Family Violence
On Friday March 4, the Local Committee on Family Violence, comprising Human Rights Department and municipal institutions District reconvened to continue the development of a comprehensive project designed to address and prevent violence.
"An important issue in our district is family violence, so we keep putting together a project to work on this issue from different institutions" said director of Human Rights of the Municipality of La Costa, Malena Farias, during the last meeting of the Local Committee dealing with this type of problem.
This time the commissioner was present Sandra Bartolomei, representing the District Chief William Trangoni, who provided audiovisual material on violence gender. Also spoke about Human Rights 2.0 program, launched in the province of Buenos Aires last week. Moreover, the municipal head of Human Rights noted that this year's commemoration of International Women's Day will focus on San Clemente del Tuyu, where a group of local women have been working on the issue. The meeting will be held on Saturday March 12 from 15.30 in Pereira Plaza, where he developed a musical arts festival.
